KAMLOOPS - A Kamloops high school is about have its day on the small screen.

The new reality series This Is High School was shot at South Kamloops Secondary School in April 2016. It will be airing nationally starting Oct. 2.

The show is split into six, one-hour long episodes with each focusing on two students, according to a press release. It will focus on how current students face the issues most people went through in high school, like peer pressure, fitting in and exams.

The media release says the show will also take a look at the teachers who work with the students and celebrates teachers’ “amazing work and downright heroism.”

The show is based on a popular trend in television coming from England with documentary television crews working in schools.

The show premiers Oct. 2 at 8:00 p.m. on CBC-TV.
