KELOWNA - A film production will start shooting in the Okanagan this week.

Production begins this week on the TV movie A Surrogate’s Nightmare starring Poppy Montgomery from Without a Trace, Ty Olson from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn and Steven Kreuger from Goosebumps, according to an Okanagan Film Commission media release.

The story follows a women who becomes the surrogate for her sister’s child as family secrets and problems become a threat to the baby’s future.

It will be produced by Sepia Films, a Vancouver based production company, with the Lifetime Network as a partner.

Sepia Films is no stranger to the Okanagan having filmed a number of productions in the valley.

“We are doing things right when production companies are returning year after year with multiple productions," Jon Summerland says in the release.

Summerland isn't saying exactly where the movie will be filmed in the Okanagan.
