PENTICTON - South Okanagan ski enthusiasts can begin preparations for a new ski season at Mount Baldy.
Following fears the ski resort, about 40 kilometres east of Oliver, may not be ready for the coming season, the Baldy Capital Corporation announced today, Oct. 9, preparations are being undertaken to fully open the ski resort for the 2015/2016 ski season.
Lift maintenance will get underway this month on the hill’s Eagle chair and season passes are expected to be available for purchase starting on Wednesday, Oct. 21, according to a post on the resort's website.
Opening day is tentatively scheduled for Friday, Dec. 18.
More information will be made available in the coming days regarding the resort’s opening, including ticket pricing and employment opportunities on the resort’s website.
