If you lost a couple rifles last month, the Kelowna RCMP might have what you're looking for.
The RCMP found two abandoned rifles last month and are looking to return them to their rightful owners. One military rifle and another mountain rifle turned up on the 1500 block of Rosewood Drive, hidden in a makeshift plywood fort along a popular trail where children play. RCMP say the rifles were badly weathered and are described as follows:
-
Lee Enfield 1918 Military Rifle
-
Jonathan Browning .50 cal Black Powder Mountain Rifle
If this sounds familiar, you can contact Cst CONLON of the West Kelowna RCMP at 250-768-2880. You will have to prove ownership with a receipt of purchase or previous registration, in order to claim them.
