VERNON - A man was found dead on the weekend in a Vernon backyard and police say his death is not suspicious.

RCMP say at about 7 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 25, officers were called to a home on Cameo Drive in Okanagan Landing.

Police are not releasing the identity of the 32-year-old man who was found deceased in the backyard of the home.

"RCMP conducted a rigorous investigation and determined his death does not appear to be suspicious in nature," Const. Jocelyn Noseworthy says in a media release.

The investigation has been handed over to the B.C. Coroners Service.
