KAMLOOPS - A suspect is still on the loose after robbing a local liquor store at gunpoint last night.

A male entered the Liquor Depot on Summit Drive around 10:35 p.m. last night, Jan. 17, pointed a gun at two staff members and demanded cash, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Cheryl Bush says. The suspect fled after he was handed cash and cigarettes. Bush says no one was injured during the robbery.

The suspect is Caucasian, mid- to late-20s and weighs around 170 lbs. Bush says at the time of the robbery he was wearing red, green and black pyjama pants, a black jacket with the word ‘mountain’ written across the back of it, black running shoes with white soles, black gloves and a black mask.

Bush says he fled the scene in a white SUV.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
