KELOWNA - On Saturday May 24 local businesses will compete for street hockey supremacy and fight to end hunger in Kelowna. Registration for Hockey Night in Canada’s Play On! Kelowna ends at midnight tonight. Proceeds from the UPS Corporate Division go to the Kelowna Food Bank.
Hockey Night in Canada’s Play On! Is a 4 on 4 dawn to dusk street hockey tournament that celebrates our game in a fun “atmosphere that makes kids feel like NHL pros and helps adults feel like kids again. Over one million Canadians from coast to coast have participated in one of the 112 Play On! events held to date.”
Register for the UPS Corporate Division and your office staff will enjoy an unforgettable day of team building and friendly competition. UPS Corporate Division teams may have between four and ten players. The $750 registration fee covers the first five players, with $125 for each additional person. 66% of the corporate team registration fee goes to the food bank. A tax receipt will be provided. Corporate teams play a minimum of 4 games, competing to win a replica Redwood Cup. Corporate teams will enjoy the UPS Corporate Lounge.
“Play On! is going to be an amazing street hockey experience, and your business should be a part of it,” says Lenetta Parry, food bank executive director. “It’s a win/win event. Play On! is a team building opportunity for staff and employees that gives back to our community. I would like to thank all of the registered teams and tournament sponsors.”
