Last day for Penticton arts awards nominations

The Penticton Arts Council's second annual arts awards is coming up in February and Monday, Jan. 19 is the last day for nominations.

PENTICTON - Do you know someone with creative talents in art, music or dance? Someone who can express themselves, or tell a story well without using words?

If so, Penticton Arts Council would like to hear from you.

Monday, Jan. 19 is the last day to submit nominations to the Pencticton Arts Council Second Annual Arts Awards.

The arts awards serve to recognize those in the community who have made outstanding contributions to the arts in Penticton. They also provide recognition to organizations who have made significant contributions to arts and culture.

Nomination forms can be found at the Penticton Arts Council website.

The Arts Awards celebration will take place at Shatford Centre on Thurs., Feb. 26.  Reception starts at 6 p.m., followed by the arts awards presentations at 7 p.m.
