Lake Country man run down in hit and run

KELOWNA – A Lake Country man was taken to hospital after he was run over in a hit and run last night.

RCMP were called to a private laneway at 8945 Highway 97 North on the border between Lake Country and Kelowna at around 11:21 p.m., April 2.

A man was trying to wave down the driver of a SUV who was driving erratically in the laneway when he was hit, according to a RCMP media release.

A 35-year-old Lake Country man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

RCMP are looking for a white, newer model SUV, possibly a Nissan or Mazda.
