KAMLOOPS – The month of October will mark this season's Blazers Kids' Month! In preparation for some of the fun activities that will take place throughout the month, we are looking for some pint sized Blazer fans who are interested in being a Junior Reporter or Junior Announcer.
Junior Reporters who are chosen will join us for a Blazers practice at ISC one day after school to film interviews with Blazers players. The interviews will later be shown on the big screen during Blazers home games in October as well as online.
An open audition will be held on Tuesday, September 17th from 4:00pm to 5:00pm at Interior Savings Centre. Following the auditions, we will invite back 2-5 kids to film interviews. We ask that Junior Reporter applicants be outgoing kids who will be comfortable speaking candidly with our players on camera, as well as fall between the ages of 6-10. Parents will be asked to sign a release at the audition.
Junior Reporter applications can also be submitted by posting a video on our Facebook Page or mentioning us on Twitter (@blazerhockey). Video must show the Junior Reporter applicant demonstrating their personality as well as their comfort on camera.
Junior Announcers will join PA Announcer Bill O'Donovan in the penalty box for the 3rd period of a Blazers home game in October to help announce goals and penalties. We ask that Junior Announcer applicants be outgoing kids who will be comfortable speaking on the microphone to a few thousand people, as well as fall between the ages of 8-12.

As always, the Kids' Month ticket deal will be in effect for all home games during the month of October. Buy a regular priced Adult or Senior ticket and receive a free Child ticket (4-12) for the same game.
