KELOWNA - The Ki-Low-Na Friendship Society will host an event in celebration of National Aboriginal Day on Sunday, June 21.

To accommodate the event, Leon Avenue from Pandosy Street to Ellis Street will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.; however, the intersections will not be affected.

Motorists are reminded that Pandosy Street from Bernard Avenue to Leon Avenue is closed for utility and intersection improvements.

Westbound traffic is single-lane alternating along Lawrence Avenue at Pandosy Street during this time.

To help mitigate traffic during the event, the right turn off of Highway 97 at Pandosy Street will be restricted for the day.

There will be a minor re-routing of #97 Okanagan bus off of Leon Avenue for the duration of the event’s road closure.

Visit bctransit.com under Kelowna for routes and schedules.
