WEST KELOWNA — A dial-a-dope trafficking operation was halted by RCMP after a month long investigation in the Okanagan.

Police obtained a search warrant for a West Kelowna home, where they found illicit drugs and firearms, an RCMP media release says.

On May 8, in the late evening, police entered the home on Menu Road in West Kelowna, and seized pre-packaged illegal drugs, cash and a pair of firearms.

Officers in plain clothes arrested a 38-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman; both had ties to the residence, police say.

“Our investigators believe that the drug dial-a-dope operation spanned from throughout the Okanagan, from Kelowna to Penticton,” Kelowna RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey says in the release.

Police say they seized over 350 grams of suspect methamphetamine, cocaine and fentanyl combined, a variety of over 940 suspected illicit pills, over $4,600 in cash, a loaded .38 calibre handgun and a SKS rifle.

The man and woman face potential drug and firearms related charges.

They have since been released and are expected to appear in court at a future date.
