PENTICTON - Ignoring one little email might have cost Dean Valouch his prize of a new MacBook Pro from Infotel.
The licensed practical nurse remembers someone told him about email he hadn't checked out. "I didn't open it up right away," he said. He was happy and surprised when he did.
He was hand-delivered a new MacBook Pro 13-inch LED backlit widescreen notebook on Wednesday fresh from London Drugs. When the Penticton resident is working in the Kelowna General Hospital emergency room he sees doctors using their MacBook Pros to bring up patient records and other information. He plans to keep his at home but he'll keep his iPhone with him at all times.
He said he uses Infotel's iPhone application to find people and businesses and regularly hits the click-to-enter contest on the company's front page. He plans to do so again.
