KAMLOOPS - The Tournament Capital is a long way from Beverly Hills, but it occasionally attracts a Hollywood movie you're probably heard of. Earlier this year, casting directors were in town to film for Night at the Museum 3 and Monster Trucks.
On most sets they are looking for our beautiful landscape and, of course, the tax-break on a cheaper Canadian location.
If you've seen the following movies, did you ever recognize any of the locations? It might be time to check out Netflix and give them a look. The semi-arid landscape has masked as a range of areas: Afghanistan, Wyoming, Tibet, Pakistan, Mexico and Oregon.
Grab a bowl of popcorn and challenge your friends to spot the familiar locations. Here is a list of nine films with portions filmed in Kamloops:
"An Unfinished Life" features Jennifer Lopez, Robert Redford and Morgan Freeman. Parts of the movie were filmed at a ranch outside of Kamloops and a house (which has since burned down) near the Ashcroft Manor.
