Rain clouds stretch across the sky in Kamloops, July 2016.

KAMLOOPS - Keep being patient for the scorching Kamloops summer we all know and love because Environment Canada predicts more rain for the coming weekend.

Today, July 15, is forecasted to bring 10 mm of rain, a risk of afternoon thunderstorms with a high of 21 Celsius and a low of 13 C. Today's high temperature is much cooler than the seasonal normal of 28 C.

Expect a mix of sun and clouds on Saturday, with a high of 24 C, a low of 15 C and a 40 per cent chance of rain later in the day.

As of right now, don't get your hopes up for Sunday. Environment Canada predicts cloudy weather with 60 per cent chance of showers. Expect a high of 25 C, dropping down to 14 C in the evening.

Heading into next week, even more rain is on the forecast. To date in July, 26.8 mm of rain has fallen in Kamloops, this more than triple the monthly total of 7.2 mm for July 2015.
