KAMLOOPS – Police have arrested two suspects and recovered 150 lbs. of gunpowder stolen from a gun show in Kamloops yesterday.
RCMP say a pickup loaded with canisters full of gunpowder was stolen from a gun show at McArthur Island Park yesterday, April 24.
The stolen truck was spotted outside a home in the Brocklehurst neighbourhood this morning, along with a second stolen vehicle and a stolen jet ski, according to a RCMP media release.
A 21-year-old Surrey man and a 33-year-old Kamloops woman were arrested inside the home, police say.
The man is being held in custody and is scheduled to appear in court tomorrow facing charges of theft and possession of stolen property.
RCMP say the woman was released from custody on a promise to appear in court at future date to face a charge of obstructing a police officer.
