KAMLOOPS - Local RCMP is looking for more information on a suspicious male who approached a young girl near an elementary school today, Feb. 3.
A male walking a dog approached a six-year old girl around 1 p.m. when she was a short distance away from her mother near Marion Schilling Elementary School in Valleyview.
The man spoke to the girl about finding her parents and let her pet the dog. Once the mother approached the two, the girl ran back to her mother and the man ran away from the school toward Valleyview Drive. The child was not harmed.
Police describe the man as Caucasian, in his mid 20s and 5’ 9” in height. He had a buzz cut, acne on his face and was wearing a dark coloured zip up hoodie and jeans.
The dog was similar to a german shepherd, around six months old and was on a leash.
