A Kamloops retail employee was spit on after asking a person to stop skateboarding in the store.

On Monday, March 1, around 4:35 p.m., Kamloops RCMP responded to the report at a store on the 700 block of Tranquille Road, according to an RCMP press release. RCMP do not identify the business.

The suspect fled before police arrived.

During the incident, the skateboarder’s friend pulled his mask down from his face and allegedly spit at the employee in response to their request, RCMP said.

Kamloops RCMP are now looking to the public to help identify the alleged spitting assailant.

He is described as a Caucasian male with dark hair and facial hair. He was wearing dark clothing at the time.
