KAMLOOPS - A computer store is out one door, a few refurbished computers and a bit of cash after thieves backed their car into the store’s window in a break and enter early this morning.

Gary Johnston, the owner of Josto Technologies and Computers, says he got a phone call from the resident living above the Hillside Drive store around 4 a.m., Monday, Aug. 17, and arrived at the Hillside Drive location to see remains of a door and missing product. The total amount stolen, he says, is around $1,000.

As far as the owner can tell, he says no one was casing the place before the break and enter.

“I watch for that stuff. We’re aware,” he says.

The suspects left the scene in a newer black sedan with considerable damage to the back end.

Cpl. Cheryl Bush, a spokesperson for the Kamloops RCMP, says no further information on the incident is being released at this time.
