Injured mountain biker rescued near Penticton

An injured mountain biker was rescued by Penticton firefighters on the Three Blind Mice trails north of the city, Saturday, April 16, 2016.

PENTICTON – An injured mountain biker was rescued by emergency crews on the Three Blind Mice trails north of Penticton yesterday afternoon.

Penticton firefighters had to hike 15 minutes up the trail to rescue a woman who was injured while riding her bicycle, according to witness reports.

The woman was loaded into the back of a SUV to be taken to a waiting ambulance on Riddle Road.

No word on the extent of the woman’s injuries.
