SALMON ARM - Partially decomposed human remains were found in Salmon Arm last week, leading to an investigation by RCMP and the B.C. Coroners Service.
On May 20, RCMP were called to the area of Sixth Street NE and Lakeshore Drive, where they discovered the human remains down a steep unused foot path, RCMP say in a release.
The area is overgrown and RCMP believe the remains are fairly recent.
Salmon Arm RCMP and the B.C. Coroner’s Service are working to identify the remains, but say it could take some time because they will likely have to rely on DNA analysis.
