Lady of the Lake Presentation

Council received a presentation from Kelowna ambassadors Miss Kelowna Lady of the Lake Leah Sorge and Kelowna Princess Elizabeth Hardy about their recent activities, including their trip to Japan.

Family YMCA update
Council received an update on the renovation of the Kelowna Family Y in Rutland. The project will repair the structural slab below the women’s change room and renovate the men’s and family change rooms.

Santa Claus touch down
Council approved Northern Air Support Ltd. to fly Santa Claus from Kelowna International Airport to Kelowna Golf & Country Club, and back, on Dec. 8 and 15, 2013. The festive flight is subject to Transport Canada approval and compliance with related flight requirements.

Sikh signage request
Council endorsed a request to the Ministry of Transportation to install way finding signage on Highway 33 for the Okanagan Sikh Temple.
