KELOWNA – Two people were treated by paramedics at the scene of a mobile home fire in West Kelowna this afternoon.

West Kelowna Fire Rescue chief Jason Brolund says the fire started around 1:30 p.m. today, Jan. 4, at the Westgate Mobile Home Park on Old Boucherie Road.

The mobile home was fully engulfed by fire.

“Initial reports said someone was inside, but everyone made it out safely,” he says. “Two people received medical attention at the scene.”

Hoses and equipment will continue to block Old Boucherie Road this afternoon while firefighters work to completely extinguish the blaze and investigate the cause.

At least three households are in the care of Emergency Social Services until power is returned, Brolund says.
