Finally, sunny and hot for the Okanagan

OKANAGAN - Dust off the beach umbrella and stand-up paddle board, fire up the barbecue and get ready to hit the lakes, because it looks like the weather in the Okanagan is finally ready to co-operate.

Environment Canada is calling for sunshine today, July 21, in the Okanagan with a high around 30 Celsius. Tonight should bring scattered clouds and a low of 13 C to Kelowna and Vernon. It will be slighltly warmer in Penticton overnight with a low of 17 C, along with a 30 per cent chance of showers and a risk of thunderstorms.

Expect a mixed bag of weather tomorrow, with a mainly cloudy sky, a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening, but still pretty warm with a highs arouind 29 C.

Then it's a return to sunshine and hot temperatures for the weekend. The forecast calls for highs around 30 C both Saturday and Sunday.
