Fall from rock face claims life of teen in Coldstream

An 18-year-old boy was pronounced dead at the scene after falling from a rock face on the King Edward Forest Service Road in Coldstream, Saturday, April 11, 2015.

VERNON – An 18-year-old fell to his death from a rock face on the King Edward Forest Service Road in Coldstream last night.

Vernon RCMP officers and B.C. Ambulance Service paramedics were called to the scene at around 7:30 p.m., April 11.

“The male had suffered significant injuries as a result of the fall, and was pronounced deceased at the scene,” Const. Jocelyn Noseworthy says in a media release.

The victim’s name is not being released, while both the RCMP and the B.C. Coroners Service investigate.
