Driver accidentally plows into Vernon office building

VERNON - There was some commotion outside a downtown Vernon office building today, but everyone is fine.

The Vernon Fire Department reports an elderly woman accidentally drove her car into the People Place on 27 Avenue today, June 15, just before 10:30 a.m.

The vehicle ended up in the front entrance area of the building. There was some damage, including bricks being knocked off around the entranceway.

The fire department says no one was hurt.
