LOGAN LAKE - Humans have used donkeys as a mode of transportation for generations and if it works for humans, why not for goats?

Little Miss, a young goat at Mile High Resort near Logan Lake, has taken to riding Bella, who is about 10 years her senior.

“They do it quite often,” Bob Van Tongeren says. “It’s quite comical. They’re quite entertaining.”

Little Miss has been riding Bella pretty much every day lately and they also run around and roughhouse a bit too.

“They’re just best buds,” Van Tongeren says of the duo.

The resort has been in the Van Tongeren family for 25 years and Bob and his wife Tash managed it for 11 years before purchasing it last August. They also have two horses and poultry on the grounds and hope to expand the animal area this year.
