Delays anticipated with Industrial Avenue paving project

Upgrades to Industrial Avenue are coming to an end with final paving of the street this week. Motorists are cautioned to expect delays.

PENTICTON - Motorists using Industrial Avenue west of Main Street might want to find an alternate route for the rest of the week.

Final paving capping off a rebuild of Industrial Avenue in the city’s industrial area began today, May 26.

Motorists faced delays earlier this morning as the paving project got underway on Industrial Avenue between Quebec Street and Amherst Street.

The final paving upgrades will continue through Saturday, May 30, depending on weather.

Motorists will have to deal with single lane traffic and temporary road closures in addition to detours that will be initiated as required. The city reminds members of the public to watch for and obey all traffic control personnel and speed limits posted through the work area.

Motorists and residents with questions about the route should contact the city engineering department at 250-490-2500.
