A woman was found dead on the shore of Okanagan Lake at Waterfront Park in Kelowna this morning.
The woman was found around 7 a.m., June 21, according to a press release from police.
“Kelowna Central Okanagan RCMP and the BC Coroner Service are working together to identify the female and to determine the cause of death,” Kelowna RCMP media relations officer Sgt. Laura Pollock said in the release.
The investigation is ongoing so police will not release any more information at this time.
Police do not say whether they think the death is suspicious.
RCMP said updates will be provided as the investigation continues.
