A vehicle collision on the Trans Canada about one kilometre west of Salmon Arm has closed the highway in both directions, Saturday, March 5, 2016.

SALMON ARM – Highway 1 has reopened near Salmon Arm after a vehicle collision this morning.
The Trans Canada was closed in both directions about one kilometre west of Salmon Arm, according to Drive B.C. The highway reopened shortly before noon.
Two ambulances and an air ambulance were dispatched to the collision on the Salmon River Bridge at about 7:45 a.m., March 5, B.C. Emergency Health Services spokesperson Kevin Sauve says.
Sauve says two people were injured in the crash, adding one person is in critical condition.
