KAMLOOPS – Highway 5 has been closed south of Barriere following a crash involving a semi and car this afternoon.
According to Drive B.C., the Yellowhead has been closed in both directions.
B.C. Ambulance says the collision between a semi and a car happened at around 12 p.m., Jan. 17.
One person was transported by ambulance to hospital in stable condition with minor injuries, a spokesperson says, but would not confirm a report someone had been killed in the crash.
Drive B.C. estimates the highway will reopen between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m.
