KAMLOOPS - A B.C. Supreme Court judge has lifted a publication ban on the name of a female hockey coach who pleaded guilty to sexually exploiting a 15-year-old player.
Heidi Ferber was a 39-year-old assistant coach four years ago when she began a sexual relationship with the teen player on her Kamloops, B.C., midget hockey team.
The relationship ended the next year and the teen went to police.
Ferber pleaded guilty this month to charges of sexual exploitation and sexual interference with a person under 16.
The young woman says Ferber made the relationship seem like it was okay, but she finally went to police and realized it was not.
Ferber will be sentenced on April 2.
