Country music superstar Keith Urban to play Kelowna's Prospera Place

KELOWNA - One of country music’s biggest stars will be stopping in Kelowna  on his latest tour.

Keith Urban will be joined by Dallas Smith and Maren Morris as he kicks off the arena leg of his ripCORD World Tour 2016 in Vancouver Sept. 10. The following night he will be at Prospera Place in Kelowna and then stops in Prince George and Edmonton will follow. This will be his first time playing both Kelowna and Prince George.

Considered one of country music’s best live performers, Urban has one numerous awards and turned out multiple number one hit songs. Among his greatest hits are songs such as John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16, Break On Me, Raise ‘Em Up, Days Go By, Making Memories of Us and Who Wouldn’t Want To Be Me.

Urban has also been a celebrity judge on the hit TV show American Idol and a vocal coach on The Voice.

“Our Canadian shows have always been off the hook giant parties,” Urban says in a release. “From the very first shows I ever did, there was a synergy with the audience that’s only grown stronger over the years. I can’t wait to bring the ‘ripCORD World Tour’ to everyone this year.”

Tickets, which start at roughly $100, will go on sale for the Sept. 11 Kelowna concert on May 3, with a pre-sale beginning at 10 a.m. Public ticket sales will begin Friday, May 6 at 10 a.m. Tickets are available at www.selectyourtickets.com or by calling 1-250-762-5050.
