Vernon Council approved amendments to the Official Community Plan (OCP) following the endorsement of the Master Transportation Plan, the Parks Master Plan and the Community Wildfire Protection Plan. The development of each of these plans included extensive public participation to reflect the community's vision for Vernon's future.

“Changes have been made to the OCP to incorporate the endorsed plans and include related policies that will guide the future of the city on those topics while ensuring that the overall OCP vision, set out by the whole community, is maintained,” said Rob Miles, Manager of Long Range Planning and Sustainability.
