Coroner identifies Kamloops toddler struck by vehicle and killed

KAMLOOPS - A Kamloops child killed when hit by a vehicle backing up last month has been identified.

Jesse Derek Willer, 2, of Kamloops was struck by a vehicle backing up on private property about 40 kilometres north of Kamloops on April 16, according to a B.C. Coroners Service media release.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Both the RCMP and the coroners service continue to investigate.

No other details about the incident have been released.
