A coroner's report has deemed the death of a 73-year-old man killed last year in a hit and run an accident.
John Waldo Teed was lying on the asphalt shoulder of Highway 1 heading into downtown Kamloops when he was struck by an unknown vehicle that failed to remain on the scene.
He died after suffering severe head trauma trauma at about 1:20 a.m. on April 28, 2012.
B.C. Coroner's Service could not identify the reason Teed was lying on the highway shoulder.
InfoTel News is awaiting RCMP on details of the investigation into Teed's death.
