KELOWNA - Kelowna’s Gospel Mission will serve their annual Christmas Dinner to anyone in the community from noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17 at 259 Leon Ave.

With the help of community support, Kelowna’s Gospel Mission expects to serve close to 700 Christmas meals on Saturday.

People from all over the Central Okanagan, including many seniors and families, will come to enjoy our traditional Christmas meal of turkey with stuffing, ham, mashed potatoes, vegetables, cranberry sauce, rolls and pie.

Kelowna’s Gospel Mission is grateful to count mayor Colin Basran as well as, councillors Tracy Gray, Ryan Donn, Gail Given, MP Stephen Fuhr, and MP Dan Albas, as part of our team of over 50 volunteers to serve the meal to our guests.

Randy Benson, executive director of Kelowna’s Gospel Mission, spoke about the meal, “Many people who use our services consider Kelowna’s Gospel Mission their family and, like family, help out with the preparations to make sure we have a beautiful meal. Volunteering can inspire our guests to take positive action in their lives. They feel good about themselves and realize that, regardless of their past they have value and they matter. Our goal is to support our guests, not only with nourishing meals but also in finding their way back into a meaningful life.”

Kelowna’s Gospel Mission’s needs extend beyond Christmas and any help is greatly appreciated.

Please contact the Gospel Mission at www.kelownagospelmission.ca  to donate, volunteer or give an in-kind gift.
