KELOWNA – It is with mixed emotions that the Kelowna Chiefs say good-bye to their top scorer.

The Kelowna Chiefs would like to congratulate Nick Josephs on his signing with the Salmon Arm Silverbacks of the BCHL.

The 19-year old Calgary native started with the Chiefs back in the 2012/2013 KIJHL season and racked up a total of 151 points since then.

This season alone, Josephs scored 37 goals and notched 38 assists and currently sits in first place of the KIJHL’s scoring leaders list.

Head Coach Ken Andrusiak says Josephs has been a true leader both on and off the ice.

"He has always been an excellent example for all Chiefs, both veterans and rookies alike.  The Kelowna Chiefs Hockey Club sincerely thanks Nick for all of his contributions to our team and wish him the best of luck in his hockey future."
