KELOWNA – A senior from Kelowna Secondary School has signed on to play for the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds next year, after an impressive season caught on video.
In the highlight reel of his senior season released on Hudl.com, Parker Simson makes one impressive play after another — as both quarterback and wide receiver. Simson throws like a quarterback, rushes like a running back and catches like a receiver. He even returns punts.
The 6’ 3" dual-sport athlete — he also plays basketball — has committed to play for the UBC Thunderbirds, according to a tweet from the football club early this morning, Jan. 22.
Last year, the Thunderbirds (11-2) won the Canadian Interuniversity Sport football championships' Vanier Cup by beating the University of Montreal Carabins 26-23.
