Chance of showers greater in the Okanagan than Kamloops in the coming days

There is a 60% chance of showers today, March 21, in Kamloops and the Okanagan.

But by tonight, Kamloops should be only partly cloudy and there is no precipitation in the forecast for the weekend and into next week.

In the Okanagan, on the other hand, the Environment Canada online forecast predicts a 30-40% chance of showers through the weekend.

High temperatures in the Okanagan are expected to cool slowly from 15 Celsius today to 9 C on Saturday. Sunday is forecast to be sunny and 12 C before it clouds over again and cools a bit next week.

Overnight lows could drop to -1 C on the weekend.

A dust advisory continues for Vernon. It will likely remain in effect until it rains.

Kamloops is also forecast to reach 15 C today and again Friday and cool off to 11-12 C on the weekend.

Normal high temperatures for this time of year in Kamloops are 12 C with overnight lows of 0 C.
