PENTICTON – No one was seriously hurt in a single vehicle crash on Highway 97 north of Penticton yesterday afternoon.

Firefighters were called to the collision at about 3:29 p.m., June 11, on Highway 97 across from the Soorimpt picnic area in Kickinee Provincial Park.

The driver of a Lexus sedan took out a flashing traffic signal and ended up on the centre median, according to a witness, who says there were no serious injuries.

Along with Penticton firefighters, RCMP and B.C. Ambulance paramedics were on the scene.

Traffic was down to a single lane in both directions as the highway was cleared.
