Car accident near Golden takes Kelowna woman's life

KELOWNA - A Kelowna woman died in a traffic accident near Golden, B.C. June 24.

Margaret Rose Pennock, 77, was the front-seat passenger in a car travelling west on the Trans-Canada Highway when the collision with an eastbound pickup truck happened. They were 27 kilometres east of Golden that morning, and Pennock died at the scene.

Pennock's family have been notified of her death. The B.C. Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate.
