KELOWNA - Nine months after Kelowna freestyle motocross rider Bruce Cook was paralyzed attempting the first ever double front flip, he is already back doing what he loves more than anything.

Cook released the video of his first ride Thursday with the following message for his thousands of fans.

"Almost exactly 9 months ago I broke in half. To ride today was so amazing and a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders. Since the moment I was wheeled into the hospital, I couldn't wait to get back on the green machine. With hundreds of hours of rehab, the help from some awesome people and the amazing support from my family and friends, I bring you my first time back on a motorcycle. So stoked!"

Cook was paralyzed from the waist down at a Nitro Circus event in January but has since gone on to inspire thousands with his unshakeable positivity and ability to overcome obstacles.
