PENTICTON - The Regional District of Okanagan Similkameen has issued a boil water notice for the both zones of the Sage Mesa water system.

The action follows heavy rains and increasingly warm temperatures that are creating the possibility of increased turbidity in the water system, according to a media release.

Properties affected include Ladera Place, Solana Crescent, Sage Mesa Drive, Pine Hills Drive and Verano Place.

The regional district says residents are advised to use a safe alternate source of water or to boil all water for drinking, oral hygiene and food preparation. Water should be brought to a boil for at least one minute.

For more information contact the Public Works Department at 250-490-4106.
