Body of man found dead in Vernon identified

VERNON - The man found dead last week in Vernon has been identified as Dustin Rogers in a report from Global News.

According to police, a body was discovered about 7:24 a.m. March 23 near the intersection of Wilson Jackson Road and Jordashe Road.

Aside from calling the death suspicious, police have not released any further information, including the name of the deceased.

A report over the weekend from Global News identifies the man as Dustin Rogers.

People who knew him have been posting memorials on Facebook.

Photos show what appears to be an Independent Soldiers tattoo on Rogers’ side, suggesting he was connected to the gang.

No cause of death has been released and police and the Coroners Service continue to investigate.
