KELOWNA - Voters who want to listen to local candidates in the Central Okanagan will have to choose between two events tonight, April 27.
An all candidates debate takes place in Kelowna at the Hollywood Education Services building. Hosted by Community Action Toward Children’s Health, the forum will focus on child and family poverty and aging out of foster care.
Confirmed to attend are Kelowna West B.C. NDP candidate Shelley Cook, Robert Mellalieu with the B.C. Green Party, and independent candidate Brian Thiesen. Representing Kelowna-Mission will be B.C. Conservative candidate Chuck Hardy, the NDP's Harwinder Sandhu and Rainer Wilkins with the Green Party. Green Party member Robert Stupke will be there in place of Alison Shaw, who will be attending an all candidates forum in Lake Country.
The candidates representing Kelowna-Lake Country will be at another all candidates forum at the Creekside Theatre hosted by the Lake Country Chamber of Commerce. Norm Letnick from the B.C. Liberals and NDP Erik Olesen will be at the Lake Country forum.
Both events will be from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. and have no admission charge.
