VERNON — RCMP and fire investigators are on the scene of a possible arson fire Saturday.
They are looking to rule out all the accidental causes of the early morning blaze that badly damaged a motor home at 6020 Tronson Rd.
Heat from the fire also did some damage to a truck parked next to the RV.
Fire chief Keith Green says the fire is suspicious.
“It mimics some of the same fire events in the city over the last month or so,” he says. “The fire started in one of the rear wheel wells of the motor home.”
Green says the investigators will be ruling out all the possible accidental causes of the fire before they can officially label it an arson.
The arson fire count is nearing the 20 mark in Vernon and area.
