Accused in Brocklehurst robbery facing charges

KAMLOOPS - One of two people charged with robbery is in custody after a Brocklehurst robbery earlier this week.

Chad Vincent Patrick Raedeke, born 1980, and Kathryn Hope Thomas, born 1987, were charged Aug. 5. Police arrested the suspects after a woman was bear sprayed around 7:30 p.m. before she had her cell phone stolen.

Const. Jason Epp says a man who tried to intervene in the robbery was also sprayed.

The two are each facing one robbery charge. Raedeke is also facing one charge of assault with a weapon.

Both will return to court later this month. Thomas was released on bail.
