VERNON - A Seattle teacher accused of secretly videotaping his students during a ski trip to Vernon now faces additional allegations in the U.S.

U.S. federal agents searched 43-year-old Jason Paur’s Washington State home and discovered video tapes of several students, said the principal of the school where he worked as a ski coach and substitute teacher.

Paur remains in custody in British Columbia, already charged with three counts of secretly observing or recording nudity in a private place, one count of accessing child pornography, one count of possessing child pornography, and three counts of breaking and entering a dwelling with intent.

In a release, Leslie David, principal of The Bush School in Seattle, said two of the tapes seized in Paur's home were created prior to the current school year and contain footage of students no longer attending there. A third was taped this past fall on campus. David said the room was searched by school staff and agents from Homeland Security, but no evidence of video equipment was found. The families of all identified students have been notified.

“Because of the ongoing nature of the investigation, other videos may be found and other students identified. One of the most troubling and upsetting aspects of this situation is the uncertainty that exists while the investigation continues. Unfortunately, we do not know when the investigation will end, though we hope soon,” David said.

Paur will next appear in court January 29 in Vernon.
