Homicide investigation underway into deaths at Anglemont home

Two mysterious deaths in Anglemont last week are now being treated as a homicide by RCMP investigators.

RCMP responded to the call at an Anglemont residence at around 4:40 p.m. on April 30 where they found two people - an adult female and a youth male - dead on the scene.

While names are not being released, the victims have been identified as a 45-year-old woman and a 15-year-old boy.

RCMP North District media relations spokesperson, Cst. Lesley Smith, said police are not releasing details of the investigation as to why they are considering it a homicide.

She did, however, say that the incident should not cause public alarm.

"It's isolated to that residence," she said. "The public is not in any danger."

The investigation is ongoing.
